Just Alicia

So because I haven’t been doing anything productive this summer (yet, it’s gonna get better) I’ve decided to watch all of the vlogbrothers videos from the beginning. Up until now I’ve been kind of, a nerdfighter by association and a fan of john green as an author. I went to their tour because my suite mate was going and I peripherally knew of them as generally awesome people. Now I’m going through and becoming a real nerdfighter. The only thing that’s a little sad is that I have no way of participating in all of the things they ask of their viewers. I’m like,
“But Hank, I want to tell you that I’m probably a band nerd and send you lyrics to prove it, and also I want to send you pictures of things on my head!”
But it’s too late. It’s like watching old episodes of the Colbert Report and being like, “Hm, wonder who’s going to win the primaries?” It’s sort of interesting to watch them go from where they were when they started to the leaders of a fairly awesome group of people. These guys get a tour eventually, and a huge following! It’s like being clairvoyant.
I want to tell past John, “One day you’re going to write a book called the Fault in Our Stars, and EVERYONE WILL CRY ALL THE TEARS!”
This has been a post.

Today at the Nerdfighters Convention…

Hank started to play guitar, but then he stopped because it was clearly painfully out of tune. This kid was like, “Your G-string is flat.” And Hank went, “Hey, kid who said that, get onstage!” So he hopped up, and I’m like, That kid is in the school of music at ASU, he’s in my piano class, and then I think, I could be fixing Hank’s guitar right now just as well as him, and I even knew what was wrong, but I didn’t say anything and now I’m listening/watching someone else do it. But I quickly moved to, Hey, I know that kid on stage, cool! And got on with my life. So this is the story of how I almost got to tune Hank’s guitar, but instead watched a bassoonist do it. The End.
